I’m going to Chicago in a few weeks for the first time. This is on my list…are some locations better than others?

I went to Chicago for the first time in my life three weeks ago. A lot of people told me Lou Malnati’s was the best pizza. I think they forgot to mention that there are different Lou Malnati’s because the one I went to was pretty lame. It was crazy busy but the pizza was lackluster. The sauce was bland and there was a lot of it. It really bummed me out. I went to my hotels front desk the next day and asked about tavern pizza in the area. The guy had no idea what a tavern pizza was but he recommended Giordanos for the best pizza in general. I went and it really was way better. Great sauce, great cheese, fantastic crust. All around good experience.
