Pale yellow color. Wonderfully fragrant nose with pear, jasmine, and maybe petrol but I can’t say that with full confidence but there was definitely a slight inoffensive funk I couldn’t pinpoint. It tasted like biting into a green salad with salted honeycomb. Not much fruit translated onto the palate. Strong basil, but not overpowering whatsoever. The flavors were great, but the wine had very little acidity to help liven it so the flabby green salad taste was not very pleasant. Medium bodied, very short finish.
This was my first time trying this grape. From what I’ve gathered online the wine should have much more acidity, so that leaves me disappointed but I do plan on finding more Greco to try.
