Got a Chuck roast for $12 and figured I would take the new pellet smoker for a ride.

It definitely had a great taste, almost felt like a mix between brisket and pastrami?

What is everyone’s experience like with this?

    I’ve done several of them. I love them because of the short cook time.

    I like chuck roast but it’s cheaper for me to do a brisket, so I never call it poor man’s brisket 😜

    I’ve smoked a Chuck twice. The first time it pulled nicely and became pulled beef sliders. The second time I ended up cubing it and turning it into poor man’s burnt ends. I’ve never sliced the Chuck and used it that way though, I’d rather do that with a brisket.
