The only thing that I would add to that cake would be vanilla ice cream, and use good vanilla ice cream

It’s perfect the way it is…if you serve it warm with vanilla ice cream, the melt will be glorious.

But this beauty is perfection and I wouldn’t do a thing to it except take tons of photos…
By itself. Cutting it. Slices. On dessert plates with any add-ons. Smiling people eating it.

I think frosting ruins the flavor of a chocolate chip cookie, personally. BUT it would look cute and more like a finished product with it. Maybe some minimal writing in chocolate, or a light drizzle?

How do you bake a cookie that big and thick all the way through without burning the edges? This looks amazing! It is so similar to a cake in shape that I want you to decorate it! But, I’m not saying no to a piece with or without fudgy frosting!

It looks just like a cookie as is, so it is sort of decorated already. If you think it needs a little more sweetness, I would just add a glaze, which won’t really affect the look other than to make it a little shiny.
