Bought a pack of these seeds from Home Depot on a whim, and have been pleasantly surprised at how well these are doing here in Texas.

They weren’t as early as the packet said, but surprisingly they are tolerating the heat really well, and have continued to produce through many 100 degree days.

Three plants planted in 5 gallon buckets have produced over 100 tomatoes so far, and are still going. The tomatoes are small, but not tiny.

The taste is very tomato-y. They are a great tasting tomato. Downsides – skin is a little tough and there are quite a few seeds. Pretty versatile overall though – good in salads and they make a rich tasting salsa.

I will definitely add these to my list to grow again.

    Interesting!

I decided to try some as “winter tomatoes” this year, because I was so impressed with how Gold Nugget (same breeder as O Spring, I believe) performed in cold weather…..but got a late start & then had a freak snow event (am in S. California, so that’s pretty unusual) and only one survived….which I pulled because it was time to plant out out main season tomatoes.

[Point being, I liked the way the plants acted but never got a tomato out of them, so if you think they actually have some taste, that gives me hope for next fall]

    Thanks for the review!
