The chicken was pan-seared with just salt and pepper. The pasta is whole wheat penne. The oil is extra virgin olive oil. Fresh garlic sliced and cooked in the oil. Fresh parsley chopped and added to the oil at the end. The recipe calls for crushed red pepper flakes, but I was unable to use them because of my 8-year-old daughter. It was also supposed to be finished with reggiano or parmesan, but my wife is lactose intolerant.
