Jua (*) NYC. Started off very strong but the mains left something to be desired.

Really enjoyed Jua after an underwhelming experience at Crown Shy this weekend. Much more what you would expect from a 1 star.
My favorite dishes were the Caviar Kim and the Tomato & Tuna. The Tomato and tuna is new on the menu this summer and was really quite good.
My only complaint would be that those 2 dishes were the most memorable by a long shot and they were pretty early on in the meal. They set a high expectation that some of the main dishes didn’t seem meet.
Overall I really enjoyed Jua for the price and it seems like one of the more affordable experiences of this caliber. Just over $700 for all the add ons and wine pairing for 2 people
