Shopping List:
1.5-2 lbs Red Potatoes (You can also use any potatoes you like)
1/2 stick of butter (more if desired)
150g Boursin Garlic & Herbs Cheese
2 quarts Chicken Stock
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
1 cup Whole Milk
1-2 tsp garlic paste
salt, pepper, onion powder
Directions:
Clean and dry your potatoes and then peel them. (You can leave some skin on for additional flavor and texture if desired). Cut into halves or quarters depending on size – the goal is to ensure all potato pieces are similar in size so that they cook at the same rate. Add to a pot with 1.5-2 quarts of chicken stock (enough to cover the potatoes by an inch) Boil for 8-12 minutes or until fork tender. Warm your butter, milk, and cream mixture together at a gentle simmer. Once the potatoes are tender, strain and add back to your pot. Use your potato masher to begin mashing and then add in the Boursin Cheese. Slowly incorporate your butter and cream mixture until the potatoes reach the consistency you want. For extra smooth potatoes, use a hand mixer or potato ricer. Season to taste. Do not add salt before tasting because the chicken stock and boursin cheese both contain sodium so wait until the end to adjust the seasoning. Garnish with chopped green onion.

not gonna lie, if im making mashed potatoes, i just say F it and dice up mine so i dont have to peel them
I am new to your YT channel (and IG). Love the video and recipes and also how descriptive and informational you are. THANK YOU @Mr. Make It Happen.
My mashed potatoes are just okay and I never thought to boil it in chicken stock and or to add the boursin cheese. I will now!!!. Also, I noticed you weren't so keen on peeling potatoes 😄 neither is my husband. What I do is wash and clean the skin of the potatoes and cut them in halves or quarters, depending on the size and just boil them. The skin comes right off once the potatoes are fully boiled. 👌🏾 no hassle and you can leave some skin if you'd like. Just my tidbit for anyone who isn't a fan of potato peeling👍🏾. Now I'm going to make this mash potatoes this way tonight 👏🏾👏🏾
True everybody knows how to make mashed potatoes but the way Mr make it happen makes mashed potatoes with swag
I will definitely make these mashed potatoes….
WAIT, you said 1 cup of whole milk (added 1/2 cup) and a 1/2 cup of heavy cream… O_o
@Mr Make It Happen hey Matt, could these be made the day before and reheated? How would you go about it? Ive never done it before so figured I'd ask you. Your recipes are always a hit! Happy Holidays!! 😘🍻

I be doing you and uncle AB’s recipes everybody want to come to my house 🤣 today I’m making garlic mashed potatoes for just me and my mother I gotta get the cook book
Since you boiled the potatoes in chicken stock could the drained liquid possibly be used for a soup base? Any recommendations for the liquid?
This going along with my Hamburger Steaks I just watch AB make. 👨🏿🍳
Looked delish! Also the Pot Roast. Learned some new tips. Thanks. Love watching you especially when u say WTHN. Have been using that phrase…love it.
I'm just discovering your channel…I happened to see that you have a cookbook with smokin and grilling chef…AB. I guess I will have to binge watch your videos now.😁 I just subscribed.

I made these alongside a roast chicken for a family Christmas Eve dinner. Turned out amazing. Thank you!
Second comment. FINALLY tried this tonight along with some broccoli/cauliflower mix and salmon. It’s yummy! I actually didn’t peel my potatoes (cuz I didn’t feel like it!) but it was good!
Hands down the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. I paired it with his meatloaf recipe which was ironically the best meatloaf I’ve ever had. ❤ thank you thank you thank you!
OMG yummy…I bet the Boursin cheese set it off.😋🔥
I noticed you didn’t add all of the mixture when you poured it in the potatoes…do you save the rest? & also Is this enough for two or three people to eat?
I'm just learning how to cook on my own, question about how long do you boil the potatoes? Can't wait to taste
this recipe!
😁
Now gotta go out get borsin cheese
Let’s make this happen guys
Making your ribs mash and Mac and cheese today. A few substations as I couldn’t find some around me but overall everything smells great so far
Yummy recipe ❤
I’m making this tonight. And trust me… I know about that Boursin as I use that for my baked ziti. It’s absolutely amazing ❤
I made these and they were a hit!! My boyfriend liked it a lot. (I wish there was screenshot setting so you can see the message). Thank you for sharing your secret ingredient. My life will never be the same 😅
Looks good! You know, just peel the potatoes, you don’t have to wash and dry them first. You’re not eating the peels. Peel them, then put em in a bowl of water. Then rinse em off before boiling, easy.
Is it necessary that I use cream? Can I do just do milk and burison cheese?
You made far too much milk and butter for that amount of potatoes
