Sizzling Chili Garlic Tofu

    ###Ingredients

    **Tofu**

    * 280g tofu block, sliced into rectangles
    * Nori sheets, cut into rectangular strips
    * 3-4 tbsp soy sauce
    * 4-5 tbsp cornflour
    * Oil for frying

    **Chili Garlic Sauce**

    * 4 garlic cloves, chopped
    * 1-inch ginger, grated
    * 1 shallot, sliced
    * 3-4 spring onions, sliced (keep the green part for garnish)
    * 1-2 tsp homemade chili oil
    * 1 tbsp ketchup
    * 1 1/2 tsp sesame oil
    * 1 tsp maple syrup
    * 2 tbsp soy sauce
    * 1 tbsp rice vinegar
    * Cornflour slurry (3 tbsp cornflour + 3 tbsp water = slurry)

    ###Instructions

    1. In a container, add the tofu, soy sauce, and maple syrup. Allow it to marinate for 10 mins.
    2. While the tofu is marinating, cut the nori sheets into strips.
    3. In a jar with a lid, add all the sauce ingredients. Give it a good shake and set it aside.
    4. Individually wrap the nori sheet around each piece of tofu, then dip and coat them in cornflour. Set them aside.
    5. Heat up the oil in a pan, then add the tofu. Fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
    6. In a clean pan, heat it to medium heat. Add the crispy tofu, then pour in the sauce.
    7. Mix it up, and once it thickens, serve it up with some rice and enjoy!
