Glad you liked it! We went this past week. Clearly a very talented kitchen, but we didn’t love the food. I honestly wasn’t stuffed at the end (got some food on the walk home) and the service was….strange. We had some amazing servers but the main guy who helped us was awkward and definitely lessened the experience, especially compared to the service at Alchemist (top tier and about as friendly as it gets), Geranium (very professional but also relaxed) and Kadeau (really felt like dining in a friend’s home).

I’m so glad we went to Noma, but left slightly disappointed. Still a great place and would highly recommend, but maybe go in with tempered expectations.

I had never anticipated a meal this much and I’m glad to say, it did not disappoint!

The restaurant is perfectly located, surrounded by beautiful waters and away from crowds.

The food was innovative, yet not everything was delicious in an expected way. Some of them did make me feel like you have to be type of person that eats everything to enjoy this meal thoroughly (the pine and the mold for example, which I loved).

My favorite dishes were the peas and the crudité. The peas were just a genius combination of textures and flavors, I could eat like another 20 of them. The crudité was the freshest salad I ever had, it really let the vegetables shine. It brings me back childhood memories of picking strawberries from fields and eating them straightaway, it is THAT fresh.

The only criticism I have would be the lack of bread or just carbs. 1 or 2 dishes were great but I felt like they would be even better with added carb components.

The servers were really passionate about what they do and really cared for your experience. They would always tell us how they ethically sourced their ingredients. We had a tour of the entire place when we finished our meal. I was really amazed by how much preparations that are needed behind everything they do and how it is done so smoothly.

Overall, this was one of my favorite dining experiences ever. Just by how much you get to taste and see, how you don’t get this anywhere else in the world, this place is worth a trip.
