Take a bite of this smooth, luscious pumpkin pie, close your eyes, and be transported back to the good ole days….Grandma’s toasty warm house on a holiday, the people you love gathered around, hot rolls in the oven, and feeling thankful to just “be”. As Nanny would say, save some room for “a little, or a lottle” dessert! I took her advice and added an extra egg yolk to the pumpkin filling in this pie. I couldn’t decide between brown sugar and granulated sugar, so I used a little of both. I think you’ll like it.

When I was little, and to this day, I love cooking with my Mama. I remember one Thanksgiving, early on, I was probably seven years old,…She showed me how to make my favorite: Pecan Pie! I was so excited to get into the flour, roll the dough, and create something tasty. Everything she makes is made with love. That really is the secret ingredient.

  1. To each their own, but in my own opinion if you don't blind bake the crust, the bottom is going to be soggy. It just is.

    That being said, this is still an amazing recipe and you might not mind if the bottom of the crust is soggy. You can always blind bake your crust if you want to.

I have been looking for one I only found one other brand that I am thinking of ordering from Amazon I had thought about that Idea thinking to myself how I have never seen one so I googled it and low and behold there is already some invented lol I have got to get me one because I cannot stand having a cord attached

I HAVE THE SAME PIE PLATE I USE ONE LARGE CAN OF PUMPKIN AND I CAN OF MILK THE REST IS SIMILAR TO MINE I FLUTE A HIGH EDGE SO ALL THE FILLING FITS IN THE PIE I BAKE ON A PREHEATED CAST IRON GRILL SO NO SOGGY BOTTOM AND AT 350 CONVECTION FOR THE WHOLE TIME I DO LIKE THE IDEA OF A FLAVORED TOPPING WILL GO LOOKING FOR WHITE CHOCO PUDDING MIX

  14. Basically that filling is the Libby's recipe from the can of pumpkin except you substituted a half cup brown sugar for white.
