Potato salad is the ultimate summer salad recipe. This easy, creamy, crunchy, classic potato salad recipe is just like my mom used to make. In fact it’s her recipe, that I’ve lovingly adopted and have been making for more than 20 years. Believe me when I say, it’s the BEST potato salad recipe you’ll ever taste!

Homemade potato salad is fresh and better than anything you can buy in the store. I also use my homemade mayonnaise recipe to make it healthier! Serve it up as a salad recipe or side dish recipe at your next barbecue, party or potluck. Enjoy!

  1. Hi guys! Summer is right around the corner and we all need a great potato salad recipe, right? This is my mom's recipe and I'm excited to share it with you today. I've got another classic recipe coming your way next week that you don't want to miss either. Stay tuned! ๐Ÿ˜‰ xo – Lisa

  2. my goodness, that looks delicious! Will have to try that tomorrow, I've got some left over new potatoes in the fridge

  3. Never been a fan of eggs in potato salad. Mom would either make deviled eggs or just bring the hard-boiled eggs separately as part of the picnics we had. The rest looks delicious, though I'd probably add some garlic powder to mine.

  4. No way you can steer me away from using russet potatoes for potato salad. But otherwise this is exactly the recipe I make potato salad with. Other than not grating the radishes and I will often add a bit of gut up sweet pickles.

  5. Looks perfect but 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of mayo and Miracle Whip adds a nice bit of "tang". Oh yeah, and a "squirt" of yellow mustard.

  6. Made this salad this weekend and who knew radish will make a difference ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ also made your mayonnaise recipe ๐Ÿฅ”๐Ÿฅ” excellent ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  7. I tried your recipe but honestly, the celery ruined it.

I think I'll try replacing it with cucumber. Keeping the crunch while avoiding the devil's taste of celery.

  8. I Love the addition of radishes. Would it still taste good if I added some cut up dill pickles? I love pickles in my potato salad.

  9. A half a teaspoon of sea salt is not enough, perhaps 1 to 2 teaspoons is much better for taste. Great video thank you fir sharing your memories of your Momโ€™s recipe ๐Ÿ’•

  10. I am tardy getting back to you on this. I have made this recipe a few times now and have had great results. I did a minor change and went 50/50 with mayo and Greek yogurt. Also, I get fresh daikon radishes from a local veggie farmer so I used them. Last night was spur of the moment because I had half a sack of russet potatoes and a bunch of fresh dill left from another project. Salad was great. I have also made you black bean soup last week and that was excellent as well. Thanks for doing what you do!!

  11. I am a P salad junkie. I love watching potato salad videos….everybody's recipe is different. This is a great video and an xlnt recipe. I will have to try it. My Mom always added celery seed too.

  12. This looks delicious! Iโ€™m going to make it this week for a family birthday party. Iโ€™m going to add a bit of fresh wasabi (a guy I worked with years ago did this with his potato salad and it was a GAME CHANGER). It wasnโ€™t hot, but added something special. Thanks for another great recipe, Lisa!
