Vandana Karani shows you how to make Roasted Coriander Cumin Spice blend, a two spice blend also known as Dhaniya Jeera Powder

Makes 1/4 cup

Ingredients
1. Whole Coriander Seeds – 2 tbsp
2. Cumin Seeds – 1 tbsp

Method
1. Turn on the stove on medium heat
2. Heat a non stick pan on medium heat
3. Roast coriander seeds and cumin seeds for 2-3 min stirring continuously till the seeds turn reddish brown and give a nice aroma.
4. Do not burn the seeds
5. Cool the seeds in a plate for 30 min
6. In a coffee grinder, coarsely grind the seeds
7. Store the roasted coriander cumin spice blend in an air tight container
8. To preserve the aroma, do not refrigerate
9. Use the spice blend in curries and veggies
