Definitely watch more Shokugeki no Soma/Food Wars, it is full of interesting recipes I want to see you try to make. I know of other cooking anime too, but that's the main one.

Fun fact: Food Wars (Shokugeki No Soma) isn't the first anime to incorporate "pineapple curry rice". Before, an 80's anime Mr. Ajikko already incorporated this kind of dish albeit not in fried rice form.

The very limited amount I know about anime basically comes from high school Anime Club. My favorite show to introduce newcomers to the genre because most of my friends have kids now is Hamtaro

Favorite show is One Piece but that’s a juggernaut of a show so probably start with small stuff that’s like 12 episodes long or a couple of seasons long or skip straight to Naruto

Devil Is a Part Timer, Noragami, Mieruko-chan, Stein's Gate, Life Lessons With Uramichi Onii-san, Ancient Magus' Bride, etc… it just really depends on what genre you like. Movie wise, can never really go wrong with studio ghibli.
