So are the sauce and cheese regular tomato and mozzarella like a regular pizza? Not something I’d think to put together myself, but it looks pretty tasty so I’d definitely try it!
If anybody’s offended by this, definitely don’t Google taco pizza, which I grew up with in Iowa. It’s basically a ground beef and onion pizza that’s topped with shredded lettuce and crushed nacho cheese Doritos after it’s baked. It’s weird as hell, less Mexican than an Old El Paso taco kit, and not remotely healthy, but I’ve loved it since I was a kid.

If you are ever in Ciudad Obregon, go to Mariscos El Gordo and they sell a very good gobernador pizza, they have a great chef there.
