Canning Why do I need to pressure can spaghetti sauce if it has meat? Presumably the acid in the tomato base would protect the meat bits from botulism the same way it protects itself? Or is there another reason that meat needs higher temp processing? September 6, 2024

Canning Why did the crushed tomatoes on the right separate? The batches were canned one week apart. I used the 2020 Ball crushed tomato instructions. This has never happened before in all my years of canning, and they are ugly! September 6, 2024
